Private Barrel Program
As a Kentucky Brewery, we pride ourselves on our robust Barrel Aging program. At any given time, we’re managing more than 300+ barrels of beer from all different types of sources. At the center of the program is our Winter Block Party – Greater Cincinnati’s premier Barrel Aged Beer festival and the release of our Dark Charge Barrel Aged Imperial Stout on the first Saturday in December.
To say we’ve learned a thing or two about how beers interact with barrels is an understatement, and now we’d like to bring you along for the ride. We’re offering the country’s first private barrel experience. A program unlike anything in the industry, and we can’t wait to share the experience with you.
The Braxton Private Barrel Program represents a unique opportunity to experience the barrel aging process from initial brewing all the way to packaging.

Steps in the Process
1. Create
You’ll get a one-on-one with the brewing team to determine the profile of your beer
2. Select
Have your own barrel from a previous private pick? Need us to source one for you? No problem.
3. Brew
Join our brewers through the brewing process to help lift your creation to life.
4. Age
Now we wait. Our brewing team will carefully monitor the aging of your beer and notify you when it is ready.
5. Taste
Be the first to taste you very own beer.
6. Add
Work with the brewing team to add in any final touches.
7. Package
When the time is right we’ll work through packaging and naming and our team will package the product in bottles and get it ready for pick up.
8. Enjoy
You did it. Enjoy and share your beer with family and friends.
Program FAQs
Q: How much beer will be produced?
A: While yields vary, 1 barrel can produce up to 200 22oz glass bottles.
Q: How much will it cost?
A: The Private Barrel experience can range from $1,500–$5,000 per barrel.
Q: How long will it be before I can try what we make?
A: The timing of the experience varies, but typically will take anywhere from one month to an entire year.
